Self-Led Guiding: IFS Course for Medicine Facilitators

Psychedelic work often brings up more complexity than facilitators are trained to handle.

As psychedelic-assisted work becomes more widely practiced, many facilitators find themselves navigating intense emotional material, trauma activation, and ethical uncertainty — often without a clear framework.

Good intentions alone are not enough when clients enter vulnerable states.

Common Roadblocks

  • Client’s protector fears impacting readiness or surrender
  • Client with strong polarizations
  • Clients with parts pushing the process
  • Facilitator difficulty supporting preparation or integration
  • Facilitator fear of causing harm despite best intentions
  • Facilitator uncertainty around skill level

Facilitate with greater clarity, confidence, and care.

  •  Recognize parts as they emerge
  • Work with protectors skillfully
  •  Support safer psychedelic experiences
  • Increase clients’ satisfaction
  •  Strengthen ethical decision-making
  • Facilitate adequate preparation and deeper integration
